Ms. sarah beth Voles

Sarah Beth is the Lead Infant Teacher at Montessori Magpie. Since 2009 she has worked with children and their families in different ways. Sara Beth served as a nanny for children from infancy to kindergarten. She also worked as an infant teacher in a classroom of newborns to young toddlers. 

Sarah Beth is trained as a labor support and postpartum doula. She had the honor of serving as a birth doula in several Chicago hospitals. Additionally, Sarah Beth has a B.A. in Developmental Psychology from National Louis University. Currently, she is working on a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education.   

Ms. Steph Tabor

Steph is the Afternoon Lead Infant Teacher at Montessori Magpie. She recently graduated from The University of Iowa with a degree in Art and Psychology and an interest in Art Therapy. She loves working with children and infants and believes in treating others with respect, patience, and loving kindness. She has worked with children in a variety of settings over the past seven years. Steph volunteered at several University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in the Mother-Baby Care Unit and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She also volunteered as a grief counselor for early elementary aged children. In addition to her volunteer work Steph has served as a nanny working with children from birth to early-childhood. Beyond her love of childcare, Steph enjoys reading, painting, drinking coffee, and going on road trips to warmer places.  She is excited to be a part of this wonderful community and school!

Ms. Elizabeth Campos

Elizabeth is the Lead Toddlers and Twos Teacher at Montessori Magpie. Over the years Elizabeth has had the pleasure of working with young children in several ways. As an undergraduate studying, Cultural Studies at Columbia College Chicago, she began her teaching career. Elizabeth worked as an enrichment instructor for young children. She taught children how to swim, create arts and crafts, and assisted children who were developing gross motor skills in her creative movement classes.

After graduating from Columbia and teaching preschool for several years Elizabeth decided to pursue a master’s degree in education. In January 2016, she graduated from Northcentral University with a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education. Over the Summer of 2016 Elizabeth had the opportunity to build upon the knowledge she gained as a graduate student by attending continuing education at the Midwest Montessori Teacher Training Center.


Ms. Sarah Cruz

Sara is the Teaching Assistant for the Toddlers and Twos classroom at Montessori Magpie. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a degree in Psychology and Spanish and a concentration in Spanish Literature. She enjoys working with children and takes particular interest in bilingual language acquisition.  As a former Foster Care Case Manager, Sara has learned how to deal with high-pressure situations and is excited to bring in her experiences to help our children and assist our staff.  During her free time Sara enjoys reading, learning new recipes, and going on “adventures” with her young daughter.
